A staple to every person’s wardrobe, the trouser has now become one of the most, if not the most important part of any outfit. There are so many fits and styles available, sometimes it’s hard to know how to dress for which occasion. When choosing formal trousers, there are three key things you need to look at; shape, leg length and waist measurement.
Fit is of course the most important part of finding the right trouser for you, and there are many different styles out there depending on the look you are going for. When it comes to leg length, the trouser should only slightly go over the shoe. Any longer and the trouser is too long. Waist measurement needs to be taken from the top of your hip bone whilst standing straight. In terms of shape, this all depends on your body shape. A pair of trousers with front pleats are great if you’re slim, but we wouldn’t recommend this style if you’re larger.
